Sovereign State

For licensed mental health professionals

Your work for others has a cost. This week is yours.

Sovereign State is a seven-day retreat in Mizata, El Salvador built around the four hidden costs of a caring career. A week of real rest for your nervous system, space to be the person behind the role, and time for your own questions.

Sound familiar?

Four costs nobody warned you about, and what the week does about each.

Most retreats for therapists address the obvious: burnout, compassion fatigue, overwhelm. Sovereign State was built around what's underneath.

01

Regulation Debt

Managing your own emotions to support everyone else wears you down slowly, until you feel like a different person.

The week is built so nobody needs you regulated. Your nervous system gets to stand down.

02

Role Collapse

Little by little, being a practitioner becomes all of who you are, and the rest of you gets lost.

Seven days of being the person, not the practitioner, held by peers who understand exactly why that's hard.

03

The Converged Question

You spend your days helping others find clarity about career, money, and direction. Never your own.

Structured work on YOUR questions, with a business advisor and psychologists in the room.

04

Rest Hunger

Even when you take time off, you don't come back recharged. A vacation alone won't bring rest back.

Rest rebuilt as a capacity, not an escape: breathwork, movement, and days designed to restore it.

This is the container we built.

The week itself

This isn't recovery. It's recalibration.

Seven days at Mizata by Antiresort, a private coastal sanctuary, structured through five movements, each led by a facilitator, each returning something specific.

The Collective

Underneath the movements sit the six pillars the work is anchored to: Design · Identity · Purpose · Expansion · Connection · Creativity, designed for the practitioner underneath the work, not bolted on top of it.

Seven days of being the person, not the practitioner.

Who's holding you

Four facilitators, each a leader in their field.

The experts you studied in your training reference their work. The people you listen to on podcasts have sat in their rooms.

Why now

The founding group. It won't be this small again.

November 2026 is Sovereign State's first group, deliberately small, with direct access to all four facilitators for the full seven days. That intimacy is a founding-group feature; future editions will grow.

Questions, answered

What you're probably wondering.

Why is El Salvador safe?

Because the numbers changed, dramatically and verifiably. El Salvador's homicide rate fell from over 100 per 100,000 people in 2015 to 1.9 in 2024 and 1.3 in 2025, a decline of more than 98% that officials say now makes it the safest country in the Western Hemisphere. The U.S. State Department rates El Salvador Level 1, Exercise Normal Precautions: its lowest advisory level, the same tier as Switzerland and Japan. The retreat itself is held in Mizata, a small Pacific-coast community popular with international surfers and families, and we run our own protocols on top: airport transfer, an on-the-ground team, and embassy guidance.

What's included in the week?

Accommodation at Mizata by Antiresort, all meals, and the complete facilitated program: the five movements, the six pillars, and the group containers across all seven days. The full details, including room options, arrive in the email you'll get after expressing interest.

What happens after I express interest?

Three things, no surprises: (1) the full retreat details land in your inbox: structure, inclusions, investment, and room options; (2) you take your time with it, and can ask us anything by replying; (3) if it fits, you book your seat directly through WeTravel, our retreat booking platform. Expressing interest costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Is this clinical training or a vacation?

Neither. There's no CE curriculum and no pretending a beach fixes a career's accumulated weight. It's a facilitated recalibration for the person underneath the practitioner: structured work, real rest, and a coastal sanctuary as the container rather than the point.
